David Wood (david2)

Post by sanchell »

David Wood has worked as a professional photographer for over 17 years in NYC. He attended Citrus College in Azusa, California in 1980 and holds an AA degree in Photography. He is the inventor and sole proprietor of the unique dr5 CHROME transparency film process. (Visit www.dr5.com.) In 1991 after returning to college for a two-year chemistry certificate Wood created the dr5 CHROME formula out of his passion for Black & White image excellence. Almost a decade later he offered his exclusive process to serve the public. Wood now enjoys a client base of over 2,000 professional and advanced-amateur photographers hailing from six continents. Outstanding photographs shot by professionals and processed by Wood in the dr5 trade secret recipe can be found on the pages and covers of many popular magazines such as “Rangefinder,” “Shutterbug,” “Photo Techniques USA,” “Snowboarder,” “Rock and Ice,” as well as the acclaimed hard-cover art book The Irish File by Jon Michael Riley. Currently Wood has rendered the dr5 CHROME process compatible with more than 25 of the world’s most popular Black & White film types. He personally handles hundreds of rolls a week at his Denver Colorado lab to insure the superior results. David resides with his wife Kathi and his Jack Russell terrier Buddy in their modest 100 year-old brick home located above the dr5 lab.
