The Film Developing Cookbook 2nd ed.

Post by sanchell »

The Film Cookbook is alive and well and at the publisher. The book is filled from cover-to-cover with new and up-to-date information on the state of film and developing that Bill Troop has spent the last 22 years gathering and sorting through. Bill and I hope this will carry film and darkroom well into the future and provide an invaluable resource for all darkroom workers, present and yet to be born.

We are anticipating a publication date of early next year, though Focal Press has not yet posted it to Amazon. I'll let you know when they do.

Both Bill and I apologize for taking so long.

Received my copy of the 2nd Ed yesterday.
Just a quick glance, physically it's a nice compact reference. Flipping through looks to be thorough with current info, ideas, and follow ups.
Looking good!

Just got my copy of the 2nd Edition today and am half-way through it! Great information!

Do you plan on having a sub-section on this board for the book or even a different message board?

Keep up the good work!

I'm glad that you like the book. Bill and I worked long hours into the night on it.

A sub-section is a good idea if I can figure out how to create one!

I received an email from the publisher of Focal Press, Routledge, that they are having a 20% off sale of all books, including FDCB and The Darkroom Cookbook, through February 1, 2020. If you haven't purchased a copy go to this link, https://www.routledge.com/, register on their site, then search for the FDCB.

If you have already purchased the FDCB the discount is good for all books on their site including great books on alternative processes.
