Fixer for Pyrocat HD

Post by slhartsf »

Anyone use Hypam without hardener for fixing Pyrocat HD developed negatives? I think you have to stay away from sodium sulfite, but not sure if Hypam has it. Otherwise I would buy TF-4.

I recommend only using alkaline fixer (when available) for all paper and films, but especially for pyro negatives.
Do it in the Dark,

Que formula de fijador puedo usar, que sea de preparación casera..
Entiendo que para negativos desarrollados con Pyro tiene que ser un fijador no endurecedor.

What fixative formula can I use, that is homemade?
I understand that for negatives developed with Pyro it has to be a non-hardening fixative.

You can use either TF-2 or TF-3

With Pyrocat HD there's no problem using Ilford Hypam or Rapidd Fixer, they don't have any effect on the stain.
